Stewart McKenzie is a Chartered Surveyor with over 30 years’ experience in the residential property market, having worked in private practice before joining the Nationwide Building Society more than fourteen years ago. He is a Senior Risk Manager and the Scottish Regional Valuation Manager for the Society, Glasgow based and sits within their leadership team which has responsible for the implementation, monitoring and updating of residential property policy across the UK. Whilst his primary focus is Scotland, he is involved with the residential market both north and south of the border providing technical guidance to the business and external stakeholders, particularly Chartered Surveyor operating in the housing market. Stewart is past Chair (now vice chair) of the UK Finance Scotland Policy Committee and Scottish Stakeholders Liaison Group which represents mainstream UK lenders. He also sits on the Scottish Government Ministerial Working Group on Mortgage Lending and Cladding, is a member of the NHBC Scottish Committee, and sits on the Scottish Advisory Group of the New Homes Quality Board (NHQB).
