Unfair dismissal at a turning point: case law trends and the next legislative shift
The session will look at the most important recent unfair dismissal decisions and the themes that are starting to emerge in tribunal and appellate reasoning. It will then focus on what those themes could mean in practice as we move towards implementation of the new Employment Rights Act. The focus is on how risk, advice, and strategy may need to adapt.

TUPE in practice: changing terms and conditions of employment and other tricky areas
In this session we will discuss the practical implications of TUPE and what impact, if any, the Employment Rights Act 2026 is likely to have on transactions involving a relevant transfer. We will cover:
- employee protections pre and post transfer including changing terms and conditions and the interplay with the Employment Rights Act 2026 and protection from dismissal
- the informing and consulting process; representatives; measures; and when the requirement to 'consult' is triggered
- transferee and transferor liabilities, including: who is liable for what: and common provisions in commercial contracts

Immigration consideration for employment lawyers
In this session, we will look at recent immigration law changes that will be important to factor into when giving employment law advice to businesses. There will also be some horizon scanning where we will touch on expected immigration changes.
